Don't Worry, Be Happy!
Sarah teaches classes in a style that is easy going. She honors the traditions of both yoga and the student equally. The emphasis when taking her classes is on creating space in the body, the heart, and the mind. Sarah's practice began in 2003 where she immediately fell in love with the yogic ideology. Her practice brought her immeasurable joy and direction, so she began teaching in 2007. She first certified to teach through Dana Baptiste. Dana is an excellent teacher and helped Sarah start her yoga education in a style that is balanced and down to Earth. Later, she began teaching yoga in the Ballet West summer intensives to prevent injury in dancers, while increasing flexibility and strength. Sarah has taught yoga for over seven years now. She has focused on continuing to learn and evolve her own understanding of yoga, fine art, anatomy, physiology and teaching ideology as her utmost priorities. She is currently enrolled in Salt Lake Community Colleges's 200 hour yoga teacher training program while working on her AAS. Recently, Sarah had the privilege of taking professional development workshops with Stephen Brown. There she received a Certificate of Completion in Teaching Framework and Tools to Foster Depositional Learning and Non-Arts Learning. She took away a treasure chest of tools that help her encourage students to learn in a way that not only empowers themselves, but is also a natural process of learning. Sarah is a passionate yogi, dancer, teacher, model, and philanthropist.
